Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital is seeking a student currently enrolled in an AMA approved respiratory care program who has completed at least one semester and maintains active student status. You will assist with aerosol therapy, chest physical therapy, and oximetry evaluations, and perform non-invasive respiratory care procedures under supervision.

Requirements include completing a student respiratory floor therapy rotation, and BLS at hire with ACLS within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an AMA approved respiratory care program and have completed one semester.
• Active student status must be maintained and documented.

Responsibilities

• Administers aerosol therapy, chest physical therapy and oximetry evaluations to non-critical patients.
• Performs Basic Life Support activities during hire period.
• Teaches and demonstrates respiratory care activities to patients and their representatives.
• Cleans, assembles, sets up and maintains equipment and supplies.
• Performs non-invasive respiratory care procedures as ordered under supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist.
