Qualifications

• Enrolled student in AMA approved respiratory care program with at least one completed semester.
• Active student status maintained with a recommendation letter from the Program Director.
• Must have completed a student respiratory floor therapy rotation.
• BCLS certification required at hire; ACLS within 60 days or after second semester.

Responsibilities

• Administers aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy and oximetry evaluations for non-critical patients.
• Performs Basic Life Support activities.
• Teaches and demonstrates respiratory care activities to patients and families; maintains equipment and supplies.
• Performs non-invasive respiratory care procedures under supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist.
