Job summary

Georgia Gwinnett College is seeking self-motivated Education students to serve as Recruitment and Engagement Leaders. You will assist in recruiting new students to GGC and engage pre-Education majors to learn about the field, participating in events, programs, and workshops.

Recommended for students pursuing Education, with opportunities for professional development and a letter of recommendation from a GGC faculty or staff member.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits at Georgia Gwinnett College.
• Must have declared a major in Education at Georgia Gwinnett College, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 or greater.
• Must be in good academic standing and maintain good academic standing for the duration of employment.
• Must be in good conduct standing with Georgia Gwinnett College and maintain good standing for the duration of employment.
• Must be able to work 10-15 hours a week as needed.
• Letter(s) of recommendation by a GGC faculty or staff member are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide informal mentoring support for pre-education majors (P-12 Teacher Workforce Program participants).
• Assist with managing and scheduling recruitment activities.
• Assist with designing, preparing, and distributing promotional materials for School of Education degree programs, learning sessions, and related events.
• Help maintain related social media platforms as needed.
• Conduct campus tours and host information sessions.
• Present at high schools or student organization meetings to share about the Education programs.
• Answer inquiries and distribute promotional materials at recruitment events.
• Assist with event/meeting set-up and clean-up.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
