Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Student Radiology Tech to assist in diagnostic imaging within a patient-focused team. You will learn radiographic positioning, technique, and safety while supporting patient care in a busy hospital environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, progress toward a Radiologic Technology degree, and BLS within 30 days of hire. You will contribute to a filmless PACS environment and quality patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Working on completion of a Bachelor’s/Diploma/Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of anatomy, image quality, and radiographic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic imaging studies as needed.
• Ensure examinations are accurate and timely, not to exceed 30 minutes.
• Explain tests to patients and relieve anxiety.
• Maintain radiation safety, infection control and quality control practices.
• Maintain patient positioning and accurate computer entries.
