Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our imaging team. You will review patient history and orders, educate patients about procedures, operate imaging equipment, and ensure safety and quality controls throughout exams.

ARRT certification and radiology program graduation are required; BLS within 30 days, ACLS/PALS within six months; one year of experience preferred; ASLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiology program and ARRT certified.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• BLS within 30 days; ACLS and PALS within six months.
• One year of experience preferred; ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition and responds to changes.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; ensures safety and quality control; reports malfunctions.
• Positions patient and performs imaging; analyzes results and addresses image quality issues; transmits and reports scan results.
