Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Radiology Student Technologist at West Hospital to assist in diagnostic radiology under the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist. The role focuses on safe imaging practices and accurate patient information review.

Essential duties include reviewing patient data for exams, assisting with patient movement, and adhering to radiation safety standards; training will be provided in EPIC EHR and PACS systems.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited radiology program and has successfully completed one year of school with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification (required before direct patient care)
• GXMO (General X-Ray Machine Operator) state limited license (preferred)

Job Summary

The Radiology Student Tech must work under the direction of the Registered Radiologic Technologist. Committed to applying the art and skill of diagnostic imaging through the safe and effective use of ionizing radiation, in the area of diagnostic radiology.

Essential Functions

• Assists with the review of patient information as it relates to radiographic exams.
• Provides lifting assistance and escorts patients to and from Radiology.

Education
