Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Student Technologist at Lourdes Hospital to assist licensed radiologic staff in diagnostic imaging. The role involves reviewing patient info, assisting with exams, and providing patient transport within Radiology in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate must be enrolled in an accredited radiology program (one year completed, GPA 2.5+). BLS certification is preferred; GXMO license may be required by state.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited radiology program and completed one year with GPA 2.5+
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred before direct patient care; must obtain from approved source
• GXMO license preferred unless state requires otherwise

Radiology Student Technologist – Lourdes Hospital

Job Summary

The Radiology Student Tech must work under the direction of the Registered Radiologic Technologist. Committed to applying the art and skill of diagnostic imaging through the safe and effective use of ionizing radiation, in the area of diagnostic radiology.

Essential Functions

• Assists with the review of patient information as it relates to radiographic exams.
• Provides lifting assistance and escorts patients to and from Radiology.

Education

• Currently enrolled in an accredited radiology program and has successfully completed one year of school with a GPA of 2.5 or higher (required)

Required Licensing & Certifications

• BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care) (required)
• GXMO (General X-Ray Machine Operator) state limited license (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
