The Student Programming Leader provides support for the Office of Student Life, including front-desk, clerical, and programmed activities.
Duties include, but are not limited to, welcoming visitors to the Office of Student Life and providing general information, assisting with the creation of programs and events for students, marketing, setup and staffing at events, giving office tours to prospective and current students and visitors, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. Work is generally performed on the College campus unless otherwise specified.
High school diploma or GED; must be currently enrolled as credit students in good standing at HCC and be at least 18 years of age.
No prior experience required.
Computer skills in MS Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Publisher
Ability to work within a team environment
Ability to think creatively, critically and problem-solve
Willingness to take initiative
Strong communication skills and ability to maintain a professional demeanor
Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs
Previous experience is a similar role

Work hours are flexible, up to 9 hours per week, and can be arranged to fit the students' class schedule. Work hours will be scheduled during the period of Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional Saturdays and/or evenings with advance notice.
