Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire seeks a dedicated student services coordinator to support Blugold Central operations. You will assist with academic records, financial aid, enrollment, billing, parking, and related transactions while ensuring service excellence across walk-in, phone, and virtual environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day Blugold Central activities and ensure service excellence in walk-in, phone, and virtual environments
  • Assist students with academic records, financial aid, enrollment, billing and payments, parking, registration-related transactions, continuing education, and student-support resources
  • Collaborate with campus subject-matter experts, including financial aid counselors, academic representatives, dean of students’ staff, veteran’s coordinator, and program managers
  • Align actions with the University vision, mission, goals, and strategic plans
  • Provide information, answer questions, facilitate transactions, and resolve student issues concerning registration, enrollment, financial aid, academic records, student accounts, parking, continuing education, and other resources
  • Create and update written procedures as training occurs
  • Complete student financial transactions, answer account questions, resolve account issues, guide online payments, process in-person payments and deposits, assist with direct deposit refunds, and open, balance, and close cashiering sessions
  • Provide financial aid information, explain regulations and processes, assist with applications and forms, and advise on financial aid options and impacts of registration changes
  • Create, maintain, and explain academic records; support transcript and enrollment verification requests; troubleshoot registration errors; explain academic rules, policies, transcripts, and holds; perform registration functions such as late add/drop approvals; and advise on FERPA regulations
  • Provide parking information and services, issue and accept permit payments, and accept parking-ticket payments
  • Provide general university information, referrals, housing and meal-plan information, physical-location assistance, access support for CampS, eforms, email, D2L, and other systems, and website navigation assistance
  • Direct students and prospective students on application, registration, financial status, academic and recreational programs, and graduation and licensure requirements
  • Track prospective and current student status on academic progress or related areas
  • Apply program, procedure, and policy knowledge to provide administrative support, escalating complex decisions to other personnel
