Job summary

Madison Metropolitan School District is seeking an Academic and Career Planning Coordinator for Black Hawk Middle School on a 0.1 FTE basis for 26-27 school years. The position is Exempt and pays a minimum annual compensation of $53,525, with a 192-day contract.

Responsibilities include applying standards to plan learning targets, developing daily/weekly plans, setting objectives, instructing students, adapting methods, and coordinating with parents and staff to support student achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• DPI teaching license required or ability to obtain prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Use standards (CCSS, SELS, Language) to identify learning targets.
• Develop daily and weekly plans to support student growth.
• Establish clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects.
• Instruct students individually and in groups using various methods.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse needs.
• Provide frequent feedback and assess student learning.
• Collaborate with staff and engage with parents/guardians.
• Meet with parents/guardians to discuss progress and priorities.

Education

Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) teaching license
