Overview:

We are searching for a full-time Student Pastor to serve as the central team leader over our Student Ministry within the Family Ministry department. This role carries direct, hands-on oversight of our High School environments including 9-12th Grade services in both English and Spanish across three weekend service times (5 services total). This position must also carry strategic and staff-level oversight of Student Ministry as a whole, including direction and collaboration with Middle School staff, interns, and volunteer leadership. Worship, teaching of the Word, and small group ministry are vital parts of ministry to students at every grade level and across both language congregations.

We want a strong team leader who builds and multiplies healthy teams, a dynamic and inspirational communicator who connects with students and their parents, and a highly relational leader who students, families, and staff genuinely want to follow. This person should be equally comfortable in the room with students on a Saturday night and in a strategy meeting building out systems, budgets, and staffing plans that let the ministry scale well. Our new Student Pastor is energized by building and innovating someone who is never satisfied with “the way we’ve always done it” and leads with spirit-led innovation looking for smarter, more effective ways to reach the next generation.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability and proven experience to grow a student ministry significantly; lead and develop a multi-layered staff team; develop and implement organizational strategies and systems; communicate effectively to students and their parents; supervise, train, and develop staff, interns, and volunteer leaders effectively; and build and lead high-functioning teams across multiple ministry environments.

Our new Student Pastor should have an evident passion for serving God, a vibrant personality, and absolutely love hanging out with students.

  • Directly lead and oversee the High School environment, including weekly services, programming, and special events, while providing strategic and staff oversight of Student Ministry as a whole (Middle School and High School).
  • Lead, hire, and develop a team of Student Ministry staff, interns, and volunteer leaders, setting clear expectations, rhythms, and accountability across the department.
  • Plan and conduct biblically accurate, culturally relevant, and high-energy High School services for both our English and Spanish language congregations.
  • Build and maintain the systems and strategy that allow Student Ministry programming, staffing, and communication to run smoothly and scale across campuses.
  • Create an annual ministry strategy for each grade division, with clear steps to help students connect with God and others, grow in their faith, and serve God with their time and talents.
  • Direct the recruitment, training, and development of volunteers as needed to staff weekly programs and special events across Student Ministry.
  • Develop and disciple a group of student leaders.
  • Partner with other Student Ministry team members to develop a comprehensive strategy to reach the next generation for Christ.
  • Foster a healthy partnership with parents in the discipleship and care of their students.
  • Collaborate as needed with the Creative Ministry to design and facilitate promotional strategy as well as visual theming and content for Student Ministry services and activities.
  • Collaborate as appropriate with the Production and Worship Directors to design Student Ministry services and programs.
  • Track key performance indicators and conduct regular reviews to drive continuous improvement across Student Ministry.
  • Implement appropriate program management and security policies/practices in support of weekly services and special events.
