Job summary

Lone Star College-Houston North Greenspoint is seeking a part-time student mentor to inform high school students about higher education options at participating institutions. You will share high-level information and support at events such as College Nights and FAFSA Saturdays.

You may interact one-on-one with students, respond to a high volume of inquiries, and assist diverse groups in a friendly, professional manner.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be currently enrolled as a Lone Star student.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to perform data entry and manage records.

Responsibilities

• Filing

• Record maintenance, preparation and review of forms, data entry
• Provide handouts and/or forms to customers
