The Cincinnati Insurance Companies seeks master's-level Actuarial Intern(s) for Summer 2027 at our corporate headquarters in Fairfield, OH. Hybrid work options are available in select departments.

Gain meaningful actuarial experience in property/casualty with experienced professionals, and build connections for future opportunities. Starting pay is $28 per hour, with housing assistance possible based on criteria.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a master’s program in a quantitative field.
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, physics, engineering, actuarial science or related field.
• Transcripts required (official/unofficial accepted).
• Cumulative GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Preferred candidates will have passed at least one actuarial exam (P&C).
• Ability to work up to 40 hours/week.
• Proficient in Excel and one or more analytics tools (R/SQL/SAS).

Responsibilities

• Assist with actuarial modeling and performance assessment.
• Support model deployment and delivery of results.
• Interact with actuaries and company management across departments.
• Contribute to projects in Property and Casualty actuarial work.
• Collaborate with Commercial/Lines, Personal/Lines, Claims, and IT teams.

This role is intended for students who have earned a bachelor’s degree and are currently enrolled in a master’s program. Our successful candidate(s) will want to gain meaningful work experience with us for Summer 2027 at our corporate headquarters located in Fairfield, OH. Starting Pay: Begins at $28 per hour and is based on the applicant’s education, experience, completed exams, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Interns for this role may be eligible for housing assistance, based on approved criteria.

Candidates should have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time. Our company is currently not hiring interns for this role if they will need sponsorship in the future.

Requirements

• enrolled in a master’s program in a quantitative field of study at an accredited college/university
• have earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, physics, engineering, actuarial science, or related quantitative field of study
• collegiate transcripts required with submission of candidate profile (unofficial are acceptable)
• in good academic standing (cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher preferred)
• preferred candidates will have passed at least one actuarial exam (P&C)
• must be able to work up to 40 hours per week
• proficient in Microsoft® Office tools (specifically Excel) and one or more of – R, SQL, SAS, and related software
