Job summary

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
• Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production records.
• Direct daily activities.
• Maintain food production for safety and quality per policies and requirements.
• Store food items safely and maintain organized, hazard-free environment.
• Maintain serving schedules and ensure menu specifications are followed securely.
• Ensure a sanitary department following health and safety codes.
• Maintain weekly inventory records.
• Prepare orders as needed for accurate production.
• Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel and promote growth, efficiency, morale, teamwork.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Train/mentor other food service workers.
• Maintain maintenance logs on equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance checklists.
• Recommend equipment replacements as needed.
• Multi-task effectively.
• Fill in for absent employees when required.
• Stay informed on catering events and ensure timely delivery.
• Attend food service meetings with staff.
• Maintain communication with staff via email/office channels.
• May perform cashier duties as needed.
• Promote good public relations.
• Work occasional night and weekend catered events.
