Southern Kentucky Rehabilitation Hospital in Bowling Green, KY, seeks a Student Nurse Tech for 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am). The role supports nursing students while providing direct patient care and vital sign measurements.

Position offers PRN/Per Diem or full-time options with pay starting at $18.00+. Competitive shift differentials apply for nights and weekends. Enrollment in ADN/BSN and completion of first-year fundamentals are required, with BLS certification by start date.

Qualifications

• This position requires current enrollment in an accredited nursing school (ADN or BSN) and proof of completion of the first year/fundamentals of nursing.
• Basic nursing techniques and aseptic practices are required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions; work with care teams.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, grooming).
• Assist with urinary catheter removal, finger-stick blood sugars, specimens, ostomy care, and drainage tubes.
• Remove peripheral IVs as directed by RN.
• Deliver meals, assist with feeding, document oral intake.
