Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC) in Florida is seeking a SNAP (Student Nurse) Ortho for the night shift in a part-time role. You will assist the unit with safe, competent basic nursing care under an RN, following approved competencies and facility policies.

Requirements include 1st semester nursing coursework (ASN/BSN), BLS, RN program enrollment or NCLEX waiting, and a nursing instructor recommendation. CNA experience is a plus; pre-employment assessments apply.

Qualifications

• Completed the first semester at an accredited Nursing school (ASN or BSN).
• Current American Heart Association BLS required at time of hire.
• Concurrent enrollment in a RN Nursing program or a graduate waiting initial NCLEX.
• Recommendation from a School of Nursing Instructor.
• Must pass any pre-employment assessment.
• Prior CNA experience preferred.

Job Overview

Assists the unit with providing safe, competent basic nursing care for patients in accordance with approved competencies, facility policies/practices, standards, philosophy under the direction of an RN. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
