Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a SNAP (Student Nurse) for Orthopedics. The role is part-time with night shifts, supporting the nursing team and providing safe, patient-centered care under RN direction.

Qualifications include first-semester nursing study (ASN/BSN), BLS, and concurrent RN program enrollment. CNA experience is preferred; pre-employment assessment is required.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the first semester in an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN).
• Current American Heart Association BLS is required at time of hire.
• Concurrent enrollment in an RN nursing program or graduate waiting initial NCLEX.
• Recommendation from a School of Nursing Instructor.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment.
• Prior CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proven work history of excellent customer service is required.

Job Overview:

Assists the unit with providing safe, competent basic nursing care for patients in accordance with approved competencies, facility policies/practices, standards, philosophy under the direction of an RN. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
