Job summary

Luminis Health, Inc. seeks a dedicated nursing assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision in a fast-paced hospital setting in Annapolis, MD. You will support personal hygiene, vital signs, mobility assistance, and safe medication transport following policies.

Current enrollment in an accredited RN program is required, with preferred completion of at least one clinical semester. BLS certification and MD CNA licensure are required; training opportunities and a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited registered nursing program.
• Preferred: successful completion of first year of clinical nursing program, completion of one clinical semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care with emphasis on personal hygiene, morning and bedtime routines, and comfort.
• Assist with patient admission, including initial weight, vitals, desorientation and room orientation.
• Assist with discharge by helping with dressing, belongings and transport as needed; remove room equipment for cleaning.
• Record and monitor patient data including vital signs, intake/output, and other charted information.
• Report pain, complaints, or changes in condition to the assigned nurse.
• Mentor new staff when required and requested.
• Transport medications following policy and ensure proper handling.
• Maintain unit supplies and equipment levels.
• Transport patients safely following established policies.
• Process medical staff orders and communicate urgent orders to care providers.
