Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of CNA experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients with focus on personal hygiene and comfort.
• Assists with admission procedures and orientation of patient to room and equipment.
• Prioritizes discharge by assisting with dressing and transport as needed.
• Participates in vital signs, intake/output, data collection and documentation.
• Recognizes and reports pain or changes in patient condition to the nurse.
• Mentors new staff when needed.
• Transports medications following policy and ensures proper handling.
• Maintains supplies and equipment on the unit.
• Transports patients safely per safety policies.
• Processes medical staff orders and communicates urgent orders.
