Job summary

Ascension Health in Central Indiana invites you to join Ascension St. Vincent’s Adult Med Surg and Progressive Care Units as a student nurse. You’ll provide direct bedside care under RN supervision while enrolled in an accredited nursing program, bridging classroom learning with real patient interactions.

You will work with a dedicated Preceptor to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and gain hands-on experience with clinical workflows in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; must be enrolled into a Nursing program upon hire and begin classes within 90 days.
• One or more of the following credentials: BLS Provider or Instructor cert within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred credential: Nurse Aide.

Responsibilities

• Provides bedside care under supervision of a Registered Nurse while enrolled in a nursing program.
• Bridges theory and clinical practice by delivering direct bedside patient care.
• Collaborates with a Preceptor to deliver safe, high-quality patient care and learn workflows.
