Guthrie is seeking a Student Nurse Care Partner to support patient care across multiple inpatient units in a float pool, per diem role. You will work under RN/LPN supervision, building bedside skills while balancing nursing school commitments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; actively enrolled in a licensed nursing program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential for patient and family interactions.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Basic computer and telephone proficiency used in patient care and documentation.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and safety.
• Ability to assist with mobility and activities of daily living.
• Eagerness to learn nursing skills in a hospital setting.
• Flexibility to cover multiple inpatient units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Participates in direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Assist with hygiene, feeding, toileting, and ADLs.
• Observe patient conditions and report changes to nurses.
• Document vitals, I&O, and other basic measurements accurately.
• Assist with mobility and transfers using Safe Patient Handling equipment.
• Support nursing staff across multiple units in float pool assignments.
• Provide basic bedside care and contribute to patient safety and satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team.
