Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a casual nursing assistant to support direct patient care in a clinical unit. You will work under supervision to deliver personal care, document observations, and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Schedule is flexible with a minimum 16 hours per month and no benefits for casual staff. Qualifications include enrollment in an ASN or BSN program and at least one clinical rotation in med-surg or prior patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an ASN or BSN nursing program.
• Have had at least one clinical rotation in a med surg setting or prior patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of direct, non-licensed patient care under supervision.
• Document accurately and timely according to unit standards.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures and answer patient call lights promptly.
• Maintain a clean and orderly patient environment and ensure safety for mobility and ambulation.
