Parkwest Medical Center, Covenant Health’s flagship facility in West Knoxville, is seeking a Student Nurse Associate for Orthopedic-Neuro and Bariatric units. This PRN/Occ, variable hours position supports nursing teams under RN supervision, providing essential patient care and learning opportunities.

You are a nursing student in good standing (junior or senior) with fundamental clinical skills complete or in process, and CPR certified.

Qualifications

• Student in accredited nursing education program.
• Must be a junior or senior in the program.
• Must have completed fundamental clinical skills portion or must complete the program within the same semester of hiring.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and intake-output measurements.
• Maintain infection control, standard precautions, and safety measures.
• Document patient information clearly and maintain patient records.
• Assist with nutrition/hydration needs and basic dressing changes.
• Collaborate with RN to revise care plans as needed.
