Job description

We’re seeking a Student Nurse Aide to join our growing team!
Reliability, trustworthiness and consistency with regard to attendance is extremely important to this job. The ability to regularly and timely attend work, cooperate and politely work and deal with others, and to effectively multi-task and work in a stressful environment are also essential functions of this job.

Responsibilities:

  1. Only perform patient care areas for which the student has received training.
  2. Accountable for personal care (i.e., grooming, bathing, catheter care, peri care, dressing), and observation of residents within patient care policy guidelines.
  3. Identify and report any condition requiring management attention.
  4. Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room.
  5. Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
  6. Routinely turn and position patients.
  7. Provide support to the nursing department by assisting with non-nursing tasks, including, but not limited to bed-making, passing water/ice, answering call lights, and gathering supplies.
  8. Perform range of motion and reality orientation with residents as directed.

Qualifications:

  1. Must provide written proof of completion of 16hr ADL training by an authorized School/Instructor.
  2. Basic computer knowledge.
  3. Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.
  4. Ability to comply with the Patient Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities.
  5. Ability to comply with Company and departmental safety policies and procedures.
