Zusammenfassung

National College Resources Foundation invites applications for a Peer Advisor in The Movement Enrichment Program (TMEP) in Pomona. You will work with high school students to improve academics through comprehensive intervention, including tutoring, mentoring, socioemotional support, and college and career planning.

Hours are 30 per week, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, with pay of $19–$21 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing or holding a degree with minimum GPA 2.5.
• Comfortable working with underserved and diverse student populations.
• Ability to work independently and in teams; manage time and deadlines.
• Familiarity with high school subjects and supporting academic learning.

Aufgaben

• Provide personalized academic advising in high school subjects.
• Mentor students and support classroom behavior and life skills.
• Maintain weekly records of student interactions and progress.
• Design and lead workshops to build cultural awareness and professional skills.
• Guide students through college and career planning.
