Job summary

The University of North Texas is seeking a Student Media Coordinator to support several student media groups on campus. You will handle payroll, purchases, requisitions, and room reservations while working with faculty advisors and staff managers of various student media areas.

The role requires coordinating with Career Center for hourly postings, onboarding hourly students, and preparing ePars, with duties expanding to travel, budgeting, and ensuring policy compliance. Monday–Friday on campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and one year of professional related experience in coordinating or administering higher education programming or related field.
• Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple ongoing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with faculty and staff supervisors of multiple student media groups and assist with administrative duties for each area.
• Assist with posting hourly student positions in Handshake per UNT policies and guidelines, working with Career Center as needed.
• Finalize hiring decisions with faculty or staff and prepare ePars for hourly students.
• Monitor timesheets to avoid overpayments or underpayments and remind supervisors of deadlines.
• Arrange room reservations and food purchases for student media events.
• Manage budgets for various student media groups and work with CLASS Budget Officer for compliance.
• Manage student travel processes per UNT travel guidelines and policies.
