University of Illinois System is seeking a highly skilled professional to act as the Bursar's subject-matter expert for student loan fund accounting. The role oversees nearly $60 million in federal and institutional loan funds across Urbana-Champaign and Chicago campuses, managing the full accounting cycle and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and university requirements.

Responsibilities include federal reporting, quarterly and annual reporting, Banner data integration, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a field related to the position.
• Two (2) years of professional business, financial, and/or managerial work experience.
• A Master's Degree may substitute for one year of work experience.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and prepare required annual federal reports, including the Perkins FISAP and HRSA operating reports.
• Prepare quarterly financial reports on the student loan portfolio for UAFR.
• Reconcile refunds issued from student and general accounts receivable each month across campuses.
• Manage daily accounts receivable data processing within Banner and related systems.
• Coordinate and administer returned check processes for all System Office locations.
• Verify monthly loan disbursements and borrower payments transfer between Banner and loan servicer; research discrepancies.
