Job summary

Ithaca College Athletics Department is seeking lifeguards to ensure safe daily operation of pool facilities, locker rooms, and deck areas. Lifeguards enforce rules, prevent accidents, and implement emergency plans while maintaining high fitness and Lifeguarding skills.

Pay rate is $16.15 per hour and uniform is provided. Responsibilities include supervising swimmers, following rotation policies, and reporting for shifts in uniform.

Qualifications

• Current American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.
• Red Cross Lifeguard Training or Waterfront Lifeguarding certification.
• Additional NYS Health Department certifications may be approved.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and effective pool supervision and operation.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations at all times.
• Implement emergency action plans as needed and respond to incidents.
