Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification is current.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are current.
• Minimum age 16.
• Knowledge of facility safety procedures and operating protocols.
• Good communication and sound decision-making.
• Dependable and punctual for scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous surveillance of the pool and aquatic area.
• Enforce pool rules and safety procedures.
• Respond to injuries and emergencies with CPR/AED and First Aid.
• Open/close the pool area as assigned.
• Maintain a safe, clean pool environment.
• Educate patrons on pool rules and safety.
• Complete attendance records and safety documentation.
• Inspect emergency equipment and report concerns.
• Attend safety drills and staff meetings.
• Assist with aquatic programs and events when scheduled.
• Provide a welcoming environment for students and guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
