Job summary

Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove seeks a Student Life Student Worker to support leadership development, civic engagement, and campus activities. You will prepare mailings, promotional materials, and bulletin boards, and assist with events, tours, and office duties.

The role requires a student enrolled in at least one credit, good academic standing, and strong communication/organizational skills. Flexible hours may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Waubonsee student enrolled in at least one credit and a minimum GPA of 2.0.
• In good standing with Student Conduct and making Satisfactory Academic Progress.
• Must be at least 18 years old; strong communication and organization skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare departmental mailings.
• Prepare and distribute Student Life promotional materials.
• Create and maintain campus bulletin boards and easels weekly.
• Assist with Student Life events, answer phones, staff tables/events.
• Answer phones, pick up and distribute mail, handle office traffic.
• Provide campus tours for current and prospective students.
• Copy, file, sort, and compile information; verify data entry.
• Occasional evening and weekend hours; participate as a Campus Activities Board member.
• Other duties and training as assigned.
