Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) seeks a Coordinator for Student Life to plan and coordinate student activities, investigations, and campus events. You will interface with the Student Senate and oversee the U-Pass Program while promoting holistic student development.

Required are an Associate’s degree with emphasis in communications and at least three years of related experience; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred and CPR/First Aid certification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards/requirements, as well as MATC policies and procedures.
• Associate’s degree with emphasis in communications; three years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred with one year of experience.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, organizes, and coordinates the delivery of student activities.
• Assists Director with investigations of student grievances of students or staff and student.
• Coordinates district-wide student events and activities in collaboration with students.
• Advises Milwaukee campus Student Senate.
• Oversees the day-to-day management of the U-Pass Program.
• Serves as Student Life representative on campus councils and committees.
• Advocates for the co-curricular needs of students and aligns events with student learning outcomes.
• Develops student learning outcomes and tools to assess activities and events.
