Job summary

The New York Public Library is seeking a Part Time Library Page for Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library Children's Center. The role is 18 hours per week, including evenings and Saturdays, with a flexible schedule based on library needs.

You will assist with shelving, patron inquiries, and basic tech assistance while representing NYPL with excellent customer service. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a degree program and have necessary minor employment certifications.

Qualifications

• Page positions are reserved for students currently enrolled in a degree program/accredited school.
• Proper employment certificate for minors under 18 as required by NYS law.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude.
• Sort and arrange materials alphabetically and numerically.
• Assist patrons with locating materials and with basic computer, internet, and A/V equipment usage.
• Support staff by checking materials for damage and preparing items for circulation.
• Help set up public spaces for events and programs.
