Big Shoulders Fund in Northwest Indiana seeks a Manager of Student Leadership Development & Scholarship Programs to coordinate learning initiatives and scholarship activities for multiple schools. The role requires project management, curriculum support, and strong relationship-building with schools, families, and partners.

The ideal candidate will manage events, track program data, and collaborate across Chicago and Northwest Indiana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred.
• Experience planning and executing large student-facing events.
• 3+ years in education/youth development or related field.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.
• Travel to participating schools across Northwest Indiana.
• Reliable transportation to job sites and events.
• Availability for evenings and weekend programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, implementation and evaluation of student leadership programs.
• Oversee timelines, schedules, deliverables, communications and logistics across projects.
• Plan and execute signature events (Art Gala, Leadership Retreat, ceremonies, field experiences).
• Support curriculum facilitation and development of learning materials.
• Engage with schools, families and community stakeholders.
• Coordinate scholarship interview processes and records.
• Identify and develop partnerships and internship opportunities.
• Maintain program data and prepare reports for stakeholders.
