Job summary

UW-Whitewater seeks a seasoned advisor to serve as the primary professional resource for Whitewater Student Government and its leaders. The role provides expertise in governance, bylaws, elections, parliamentary procedures, and policy interpretation to empower student representation.

The incumbent will coordinate Warhawks Vote initiatives, develop training on governance, and foster collaborations with campus partners to enhance student leadership and civic participation across the university.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Experience advising or developing student leaders and governance bodies.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary professional advisor to Whitewater Student Government and its leaders.
• Advise on bylaws, elections, parliamentary procedures, policies, and governance decisions.
• Support planning and administration of elections and leadership transitions.
• Coordinate voter education and nonpartisan civic engagement initiatives (Warhawks Vote).
• Develop educational programs on civic participation and public policy.

Education

Bachelor's degree in higher education, student affairs, student engagement, leadership development, public administration, political science, education, communications, or a related field
