Job summary

Zekelman Industries in Farrell, PA is seeking a part-time Student Worker - Lab Technician to support the Technical Team with hands-on testing, data management, and analysis in a manufacturing environment.

As a current full-time student in a technical field, you will perform mechanical and chemical testing, input data, and contribute to SPC analysis while maintaining organized records and supporting additional lab projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; good communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical testing of pipe and tubing samples to ensure product quality.
• Conducts chemical testing of process tanks to maintain process integrity.
• Analyzes data using SPC methods to identify trends and variances.
• Inputs test data into computer systems and maintains organized records.
• Scans and organizes order documentation and test backups.
• Supports additional lab and technical projects as assigned.
