Texas A&M Agrilife Research seeks a student technician to assist researchers in analytical chemistry and related fields. You will support daily lab operations, prepare samples, and help with data logging and equipment maintenance.

The role requires current enrollment at Texas A&M University and prior lab experience. Training will be provided, and duties include routine lab tasks, safety compliance, and occasional equipment moves in a collaborative research environment.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student at Texas A&M University.
• Must have lab experience; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist researchers with daily lab tasks and experimental workflows.
• Prepare and process samples for analysis using techniques/instruments.
• Weigh, pipette, label, organize samples and log data.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and upkeep of benches, autoclave room, microscopy lab, and instrument areas.
• Operate and calibrate laboratory equipment; perform routine cleaning.
• Autoclave lab waste and sterilize materials as required.
• Receive, log, and prepare outgoing shipments; assist with inventory and restocking.
• Move lab equipment or supplies up to ~25 lbs as needed.
• Follow SOPs and safety guidelines to ensure compliant lab operations.
• Contribute to an organized and functional research environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
