Universities of Wisconsin–Superior is seeking a SA Researcher II (Student Hourly) to support Lake Superior Research Institute. The role requires half-time enrollment at UW-Superior, a minimum 2.0 GPA, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is expected.

Pay is $13.00 per hour with opportunities for weekend lab access and seasonal employment. This position is renewable and located in Barstow Hall, UW-Superior.

Qualificações

• Enrolled at a minimum of half-time status at UW-Superior (UWS).
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail.
• To be eligible to work over summer months, students must be either pre-registered (half-time) for the upcoming fall semester or enrolled at half-time in Summer College.

Responsabilidades

• Glassware preparation for testing.
• Prepare food and water for organism cultures.
• Renewal of organism cultures.
• Laboratory equipment calibration, use, and maintenance.
• Prepare laboratory reagents and standards.
• Sampling equipment preparation and maintenance.
• Sample collection and analysis.
• Data entry and proofing.
• Assist in data analysis and quality assurance.
• Conduct toxicity tests.
• Access to laboratory on weekends for culture care.
• General lab maintenance.
• Record keeping.
