Job summary

Troy University is seeking a Student position in the Chemistry and Physics department to support lab operations on the Troy campus. The role focuses on transportation of materials, keeping labs clean, and assisting with tours, demonstrations, and events.

Responsibilities include printing, organizing, and updating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all laboratories and helping with CMMS-related tasks to maintain a safe, compliant work environment for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Troy University student.
• Must have taken Gen Chem I & II (CHM 1142, CHM 1143 and labs).
• Must maintain a high GPA.

Responsibilities

• Transporting materials and deliveries.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organizing shared laboratory spaces.
• Assisting with facility tours, demonstrations, and special events as needed.
• Printing, organizing, and updating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all laboratories.
• Assisting with additional tasks as assigned to support CMMS operations and maintain a safe working environment.
