KU Information Technology is seeking a Student IT Support Technician to assist end users on the KU Lawrence Campus. You’ll help with hardware/software installs, troubleshoot issues, and manage basic tickets, while supporting campus staff. A valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.
You must be available for at least 12 hours weekly during standard hours. Experience with Windows, Mac, or Linux is essential, along with strong communication and customer service
The Student IT Support Technician position is responsible for working as a part of a team to provide technical support for end users at the University of Kansas – Lawrence Campus.
Qualified candidates must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week during the Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM schedule. This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
