Job summary

The Student Involvement Coordinator, under general supervision, organizes, administers, supervises, and evaluates comprehensive education, preventive, and recreational programs that meet the social, integrative, and holistic needs of students.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains accurate participation and financial records for sponsored programs and activities.
  • Develops marketing plans and publicity through various forms of media.
  • Coordinates activities to secure external/grant funding for projects and extended services.
  • Advises and trains an inclusive group of peer mentors to promote and facilitate programs.
  • Develops innovative strategies to increase involvement in student organizations.
  • Ensures that student organizations are in alignment with Federal, State, and University laws and policies by coordinating risk management training, orientation, and updating the student handbook.
  • Plans and delivers educational seminars, workshops, and activities for campus student organizations, housing, and academic classes.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of related experience in coordinating events.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with other.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Starting salary for this position is $3389.67 monthly and is negotiable depending on education and experience.
