Job summary

Entergy invites applications for a Summer 2027 Engineering Intern located in St. Francisville, LA at Riverbend Station. The intern will assist Nuclear Operations - Engineering and work as a full-time student in a work-study program to gain practical experience in their field.

Responsibilities include design-change work, engineering calculations, fuel cycle evaluations, and equipment performance analysis under supervision. Minimum GPA 2.8 and active pursuit of an engineering degree are required.

Qualifications

• GPA of 2.8 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
• Knowledge of databases and standard Windows/Microsoft tools.

Summer 2027 Engineering Intern located in St. Francisville, LA at Riverbend Station

Legal Entity: Entergy Operations, Inc.-EOI

This position is responsible for assisting and supporting Nuclear Operations - Engineering. The intern will be a temporarily employed full-time college student in an accredited four-year institution of higher learning who is in a work-study program designed to give college students practical work experience in their field of study.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Develop elements of design change packages with supervisory oversight
• Perform engineering calculations within established standards and procedures
• Perform evaluations of fuel cycle design
• Investigate corrective actions for operating problems
• Perform calculations on plant capability and efficiency improvement
• Evaluate plant equipment responses to transients
• Determine appropriate materials for specific applications
• Establish standard designs, drawings, reference files and/or cost data
• Conduct transient and dynamic stability studies
• Prepare engineering specifications for purchases
• Monitor plant system performance and provide support for operations and maintenance activities

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position:

• Must be actively pursing an undergrad or master's degree in an engineering program from a 4-year accreditied University/College,
• Must have a cumulative GPA of a 2.8 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
