Job summary

The California State Assembly, Office of Speaker Robert Rivas, seeks Communication Interns for Winter and Spring 2027 to support media relations and digital communications. The Office of Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas is seeking Communication

Interns for Winter and Spring 2027.

The two separate internship dates are as follows: January through April 2027,

and March through June 2027.

Interns will support the Speaker's Communications Office across a variety of

duties, including media relations, digital and social media strategy, and

communications support for Assembly member offices.

Over the four-month internship, interns will gain firsthand experience inlegislative communications, from compiling daily news clips and tracking

media coverage to developing social media content and writing newsletters,

press releases and other materials.

This is an in-person internship based in Sacramento. Interns are expected tobe available 24-30 hours per week. There are two different start dates for

these two internship opportunities: January 2027, and also March 2027.
