Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking an Electrical Substation Student Intern for our Denver, CO office. The role focuses on learning substation design aspects, producing layouts and schematics, and coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines.

You must be a BSEE student at an ABET-accredited university with strong communication skills and a GPA of 3.0+; local CO candidates are preferred. This onsite internship offers hands-on experience in a global engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Coursework or equivalent experience in power system analysis.
• Sophomore, Junior or Senior working towards a BS in Electrical Engineering.

• Must be able to work legally in the United States without sponsorship.

Stanley Consultants is seeking an Electrical Substation Student Intern to join our Denver, CO office.

What You Will Be Doing:

• The student will work on developing an understanding of various aspects of Substation Design.
• Assignments may include the design of substation physical layouts, lightning protection, conduit and cable plans, grounding analysis and design, generating single and three-line schematic diagrams, panel wiring, DC schematics, control building and relay panel layouts, lighting design, and coordination with structural, civil, transmission line, and graphics disciplines.
• Will work as part of a design team; could be assigned to more than one project.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate mustbe enrolled inBSEE program atan ABET accredited University
• Local to the CO area is a preference
• Coursework or equivalent experience in power system analysis
• Must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior working towards a BS inElectrical Engineering
• GPA 3.0 or higher
