University of the Pacific is seeking a Student Insurance Coordinator to implement and manage the student health insurance plan across three campuses. The role involves enrollment processing, premium accounting, and direct collaboration with insurance carriers and campus offices.

The ideal candidate will have strong medical billing/coding experience, Excel proficiency, and the ability to present insurance requirements and liaise with diverse stakeholders on campus locations in California.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years in medical billing, coding, AR or customer service.
• Knowledge of PPO/HMO/EPO and insurance verification.
• Medical Coding and Billing training within 1 year of hire.
• Proficient in Excel or complete training within 6 months.

Responsabilidades

• Documents and processes waivers for all students on all campuses and records findings.
• Processes enrollment for students across campuses with carrier systems and internal programs.
• Checks billings, submits claims, and generates financial reports using medical coding knowledge and Excel.
• Maintains insurance premiums accounting records with Student Accounts.
• Onboards staff and updates Point N Click as needed.
• Updates Provident Dispensary list and pricing for billing.
• Maintains communication with the carrier to resolve disputes.
• Gathers forms, verifies information and resolves plan-related issues.
• Gives presentations on university insurance requirements across campuses.
• Acts as liaison among students, schools, departments and insurance reps.
• Monitors processes for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Rebills for denials on claims.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
