Job summary

Eastern Kentucky University is seeking an entry-level Student HVAC Support Technician to assist with daily HVAC and control system repairs and service work on the Richmond Campus. The role is part-time (20 hours per week) with no benefits, suitable for students currently enrolled at EKU.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and be willing to learn HVAC systems; basic computer skills and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and full-time EKU enrollment.
• Willingness to learn HVAC systems and building controls.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move tools and materials.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions.
• Basic computer skills for paperwork and documentation.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily HVAC and control system repairs and service work; support technicians on job sites as needed; clean, organize, and maintain warehouse and work areas; fetch tools, equipment, and supplies for technicians and job sites.
• Help track inventory and restock materials; complete basic paperwork, work orders, and documentation; follow safety procedures and standards at all times.
• All other duties as assigned.
