Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking a Coordinator of Student Governments to support the Student Life Ohio Union and Student Activities team. You will advise the graduate and inter-professional councils, assist undergraduate student government with programming, and help officers implement initiatives and events.

You will also manage timesheets and hiring for paid student leaders, coordinate with campus partners on planning and logistics, and participate in staff development and university committees

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of relevant work experience in higher education or student settings.
• Experience working with students in a higher education setting.
• Experience managing multifaceted projects.
• Strong planning, organizing, and implementation skills.
• Coaching and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the secondary advisor to the CGS, UG Student Government, and IPC; assist officers with communications, trainings, transitions, budget planning, grant processes, purchasing approvals, and event planning/on-site support for major activities.
• Work closely with Student Government leaders to aid event planning and logistics; maintain a project management structure and educate leaders on purchasing and event procedures; provide on-site support for programs.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development activities; support university programs, serve on committees, and perform other duties as assigned.
