Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is seeking a SGA Communication and Public Relations Director to lead the Public Relations and Marketing Team and actively promote student understanding and participation in the Student Government Association.

You will inform campus and local media about SGA events, decisions, and policy, while managing graphics, promotions, and the SGA website and newsletters. Expect to coordinate social media, run the radio show, and attend senate meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Public Relations and Marketing Team.
• Actively promote student understanding of, and participation in the Student Government Association.
• Serve as the Student Government Association’s media relations coordinator.
• Inform campus and local media concerning events, news, decisions, and policy.
• Manage and create all SGA graphic design, images, and promotional materials.
• Plan and run the SGA radio show.
• Coordinate, develop, and maintain the SGA’s social media presence.
• Produce a regular newsletter.
• Create and upload Bright Sign Presentations.
• Collaborate with directors to plan campus-wide events and observation days.
• Attend the SGA Senate and Executive Staff meetings.
• Meet regularly with the Executive Director to discuss and document transitional materials and contacts.
