Position Compensation: $11.80 per hour
Location: University Campus - St. Paul, Minnesota

Position Summary:

The Game Day Operations Assistant supports the successful execution of home athletic events by assisting with event operations, game administration, and customer service. This position is responsible for accurately recording and reporting in-game statistics, operating game-day technology, and helping ensure a positive experience for student-athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators.

Hours per week: 10-15

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of home athletic events.
  • Coordinate game-day operations with officials, visiting teams, event staff, and athletics personnel.
  • Record and maintain accurate in-game statistics using approved statistical software and scoring systems.
  • Generate and distribute official statistical reports and game documentation following competitions.
  • Operate game-day technology, including scoreboards, timing systems, and live statistics platforms.
  • Provide customer service and support to student-athletes, coaches, spectators, and event guests while ensuring a positive game-day experience.
  • Capture and organize photographs of athletic events for use in athletics department communications, social media, marketing materials, and historical archives.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Must have knowledge of basic rules and regulations of the sport you are working and statistical procedures
  • Ability to interact with a variety of individuals in a professional, courteous and tactful manner
  • Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community

Preferred

  • Experience in photography and social media

  • Background Check: Must pass background check as a condition of employment.
