Job summary

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production records.
• Direct daily activities.
• Maintain food production that ensures safety and quality of food.
• Ensure food items are stored safely and organized.
• Maintain serving schedules; ensure items served per menu specifications.
• Maintain sanitary department following health and safety codes.
• Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis.
• May prepare orders to ensure accurate production for location.
• Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel; promote growth and teamwork.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Train/mentor other food service workers.
• Maintain equipment maintenance logs and preventive checks.
• Recommend replacement of existing equipment as needed.
• Proficiency in multi-tasking.
• Fill in for absent employees; attend catering events.
• Maintain knowledge of daily catering events and confirm on-time delivery.
• Attend food service meetings and maintain communication with staff.
