Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Lead Student Worker to supervise the food operation, train staff, and manage daily activities, ensuring proper production and timely service. The role emphasizes food safety, inventory control, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

You will mentor other food service workers, coordinate catering events, and support the Food Service Director as needed, including potential cashier duties and occasional night/weekend events.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and understand verbal instructions.
• Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost‑effective program.
• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Must be a student at the Aramark location.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production records.
• Direct daily activities.
• Maintain food production that ensures safety and quality according to policies and requirements.
• Ensure food items are stored in a safe, organized environment.
• Maintain serving schedules; ensure items served per menu specs safely.
• Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes.
• Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis.
• May prepare orders to ensure accurate production for location.
• Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel; promote growth and teamwork.
• Maintain a safe and hazard‑free working environment.
• Train/mentor other food service workers.
• Maintain maintenance logs and perform preventative checks.
• Recommend replacement of equipment to meet facility needs.
• Proficiency in multi‑tasking.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager.
• Fill in for absent employees as necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of daily catering events and ensure timely delivery.
• Attend food service meetings and maintain staff communication.
• May perform cashier duties as needed.
• Promote good public relations.
• Be able to work occasional night and weekend catered events.
